Took "Miss-Behavin" (As she's now called) out today - I thought I'd treat her to a trip to work and park her up next to all the nice aeroplanes, but no she had other ideas! 0700 Hrs, Just short of the M25 past the scenic stretch of the thames just past the Runnymead Hotel and on the worst grotty stretch of the A30 she snaps her throttle cable and glides to a stop! 1330 Hrs she's on the back of a flat-bed on her way to SGT in Maidenhead.
Why couldn't it have gone at work or next to the Magna Carta cafe!
Doc said I needed more Vitamin D so I though I'd take the 3W on a trip into London for lunch. I was a bit worried about the heat and traffic but it didn't go into skip fire once, so I can only assume the 2014 cooling kit works. Great fun and the attention this car receives is off the scale and all positive. I was sat behind a new 458 Speciale which was being completely ignored. Don't know if I will brave it tomorrow in 35 deg heat though. One thing I did notice is that the car makes all sorts of creaks and groans once it has sat in the sun for a few hours and expanded.
If it has the urban cooling kit is fully installed with ECU re-map it never will go into skip fire mode, pretty sure skip fire is disabled. The Ferrari proximity invisibility mode still works though.
Well after a drive out to Kop Hill on Monday and a couple of blasts up the hill. I got in the car for another trip yesterday, ignition on pressed starter button click, click, click, nothing. Checked battery voltage 7.7v a dead rectifier I assume, at least it happened at home and I do have a new HD unit I was carrying as a spare.
Drove to Glenshee yesterday beyond Braemar. It was 22c when I set off, 28C later. There was still snow on the tops out of the sun. Drove there without head gear just goggles. Returning I was buffeted too much so put flying helmet on which also made it quieter. Went out today only 22C.
Indeed it is ! Excellent catch Q8! That's what I love about TM, having a friend from across the globe spot a video ! I believe that was returning from 'Mods & Rockers', heading to the Lombard Cruise night last Saturday
