Well, I started the 38 DHC, with the help of some spray ether, and shifted into reverse and pulled out of the garage. Felt a few drops of rain, and put the car into 2nd and pulled back into the garage. Ran it a while to get it up to temp and shut it down. Perhaps I will try again tomorrow.
Cheers,
Mark

Glorious run to work and a moderate evening drive back home just now, I was being chased by the moon, I couldn't loose it!

I've just arrived in Kent from Dorset. 146 miles with no side screens or hood, heater toasting my legs. Set out at dusk and had a lovely nearly-full moon for company all the way up the A31/A3/M25. Hope the weather's good for the return trip Friday evening.

You still need a heater Here I am worried that the aircon has enough charge in it to keep my legs cool!

Fabulous run along the North Norfolk coast from Brancaster to Salthouse and then to Cookies Crab Shack for lunch. Still rough and ready but fabulous seafood.

Just had a great day out in the LRR, wanted to go to Street as it looked like it might rain and did not want to waste the day if it did, also wanted to visited her Aunt on the way home at Burnham-on-Sea, her hubby passed away a few weeks ago. So we set off in the Mog just before 10:00 with roof off, and I had planned the route for a nice drive on A and B roads. Seaton to Axminster then Chard and via Ilminster and then onto Langport and cross country up to Street, 44 miles. So we cruised 40-60mph. very little traffic and everything we came across seems to turn off with a mile or so so we had a really relaxed drive. I filled up just the otherside of Langport and on the measured fill up LRR returned 30.83MPG over 199.5 miles, pretty respectable considering that had been a variety of urban driving and cruising around 60-70 occasionally. A couple of hours round Street shops, and I found the most comfortable pair of ECCO's for work and driving, I even bargained and as their last pair got 25% off the sale price. Sue got some T-shirts and bits Then we sat on the grass with our packed lunch and flask of coffee, we resent a day out and ending up paying £20+ for a snack that usually is not that good. Then off to Sheila's with a quick dash up one junction of the M5, a couple of teas and a natter, she is doing well after loosing her hubby, they had been together 56 years, sadly the big C got him. A lovely kind and happy chap who changed his car virtually every year when the fancy took him, he used to be a big Jag man but in later years, moved to Mercs and 4*4's for ease of use and for their lovely long haired German Shepherd, Monty. Sheila is left with a brand new top of the range estate Merc C250 that she brought for him in Feb this year as his birthday present, even though he could no longer drive by that time. He enjoyed going out in it and fiddling with the bells and whistles, much to Sheila's annoyance. She told us that once in Tesco's she came back to find that he had opened the boot with the dog in the back, he just stayed where he was (a lovely well trained dog), and Bernard had locked himself in the car as it kept beeping at him as he'd opened the boot. At that point his balance and walking was not great, so he stayed in the car. Anyway we left knowing Sheila was doing well at the moment, a strong hearted lady. We departed and a quick blast down the M5 roof still off and in T shirts as it was so hot. Then back to Seaton the quickest route to let Harry out and take him for his walk. A lovely day.

Finally had time to take DHC out when it wasn't raining. It was hot though and the thermosyphon just about doesn't really work in Florida. Car is wonderful for it's advanced age. I hope I have the opportunity to age gracefully . . .
Cheers,
Mark
