Having just acquired our lovely new M3W we would like to go away for some longer trips. A big worry though is what the parking is like at the places we would like to stay at. Leaving the car outside doesn't appeal unless the weather is good and the parking area very private. Can anyone suggest Hotels or Guesthouses anywhere in the country that has indoor parking?

I will make a start with the only one I know and that is The Royal Sportsman Hotel, Porthmadog, North Wales.

Two issues, security and weather protection.

Guidance on secure parking can be found on sites aimed at bike touring, bikers are rather concerned about this issue.

Weather protection is another issue:I thought I'd seen a storm cover for the M3W mentioned here, but might have imagined it.

If you fancy discovering Cheshire and North Wales we have The Loft which has it's own under cover parking. It's right underneath the property and in a very safe envoronment. Very happy also to join on some runs out and show you some places and join our little gang of moggers, including M3Ws! The Loft You can just about see where the parking area is to the left of the dovecote on slide 3.

If your brave enough to visit Cumbria, lake district & Roman wall country you could try www.acornbank.co.uk, we have secure parking & garage to the rear if needed.
Would love a trip out in the three wheeler

Talk Morgan at its Best!
Thanks for the ideas. Cumbria, North Wales, Isle Of Wight, Cheshire so far. All very enticing. Thanks.

Will note all of these and hopefully get round to meeting one/some of you. I forgot to say that owners of establishments will of course get a trip in the 'Mapmog' and the odd free map too!

I did think replies would be by people who have visited suitable establishments they could recommend but it seems quite a few TM members are in the accommodation business also. Even better.

Keep them coming

I'm surprised myself at there being some other accommodation providers too! Useful to know and of other Morgan friendly places to stay. Hopefully meet you on your travels - are you at TOTH this weekend? Interested about your maps - a touring Mogmap of Morgan friendly accommodation - Umm!

Yes I will be at the TOTH. I publish a range of hand painted aerial maps. www.firtreemaps.com

I love paper maps so you can imagine the mapmog will never be kitted out with a prat nav!

I have managed to find a nice little A5 version of the A-Z which fits nicely into a holder I have made in front of the handbrake.
