I have just joined this forum although I have owned my 3.9 Plus 8 since new in 1997 (one of the last short door versions).
I take my car to Le Mans pretty much every year and will be going in June with my wife Debbie.
Looking forward to using this site to keep up to date etc.

Good Morning rikster.

Are you a TVMOGer?

I live in reading, and have owned A11OGE for 4 1/2 years.

Like you I always go to Le Mans every year, for the past 4 years in the Morgan. Do you go with a group?

Welcome Rik, I also live in Berkshire when in the UK. smile

I'm afraid that we stopped going to Le Mans some years ago, as we tried the Le Mans Classic and I must say that we really enjoyed it. Have you tried it Rick it is a great weekend? coffee

We have already confirmed with Quentin (MSCC Travel Co-Ordinator) that we will attend again in 2010 and we would like the same room in the Auberge down the Mulsanne. flag Great fun watching the cars race at night with a bottle of wine in hand and all within walking distance wine

Cheers
Brian

Hi there, no I am not a TVMOGer, mainly as my job doesn't often give me time to commit to such things.
I live in Sindlesham and my, MOG started life as P642 VFV but is now P8 THW.
I go to Le Mans with a group of friends however this year we are down to just me and my wife (who normally doesn't come) and a friend with a camper van. We camp at Beausejour.

Hi Brian,
I have not tried Classic Le Mans but I may be interested. I heard that there was something special being organised this year (or was it next) for the Morgan Centenary (should be this year then I guess)... do you know more about it? Would be good to drive all the way round the track even if in a cavalcade!

Rik - Like you I always go with a group of friends. We have been going since 1989. Sometimes there are 3 of us, sometime there can be 10. This year I am taking son (aged 13) for the first time (shh.. he does not know anything about it)

We used to camp at Houx camping, but about 8 years ago we found it impossible to buy a camping ticket on the gate, and so since always camped at Malicorne (20 minutes south of Le Mans) in a proper campsite. The village has 2 restrauants which have never disappointed us.

Have you ever been to the Saint Saturnin Classic British Breakfast on the Friday. We went for the 1st time last year, it is a free Classic Car show. This year it will feature Morgans. see web site. http://www.classicbw.org/plan-d-acces.php

My wife, son and I did the Classic last year. Completly different to the 'true 24 hours'. My wife, who until then was not a Morgan person, was so impressed she has already shown an interest in going in 2010 (a big result) cheers
