We did a few in Nairobi. BBQ was great as I cooked but it didn't feel right

I did (December) Christmas in Oz once, it was surreal. One celebration was in Sydney's Darling Harbour and Santa and his Elves arrived on Jetskis. Mad, but great fun I've done five now, all great, possibly our best ones ever .... BUT they don't feel like Christmas!

It was mentioned in the forecast at lunchtime ... as they put it: "it's a bit nippy for Skippy". ~iw  But I'd beg to differ, at dusk (as with dawn a risk time to be driving out here away from big centres) a kangaroo hopped out in front of us on Sunday. Must have been inches off the bumper. Some heavy breaking and it just hopped off. Taller than the car. Could have been very messy.
