Very good. Also, the stuff about "Men are from Mars & Wome are from Venus". I think there's another big distinction. My has this thing about men pressing buttons and women don't. I think women just stare at buttons. What's the point of having buttons if you don't press them? I thought buttons were for un-doing.

Very good. Also, the stuff about "Men are from Mars & Wome are from Venus". I think there's another big distinction. My has this thing about men pressing buttons and women don't. I think women just stare at buttons. What's the point of having buttons if you don't press them? Forgive me for mentioning this but my understanding of the whole button theory and women was that they don't think that we even knew where they were let alone pressing the correct one on time so to speak - and they have missed the Golden shot....before you know what's happening and yes you know whose fault it will be.... Well have you never asked her loveliness where the remote is ... Believe you me, Richard! My knows about buttons and where they are but doesn't think they should be pressed! I keep telling her - that's wny they're there. I think it all started when I pressed the traction control button on her TT and she'd onkly had the car a couple of days and the button disappeared into the dashboard and wouldn't pop out. I said it was a fault with the button and she maintained buttons shouldn't be fiddled with. I ask you... Brilliant, they all do that Madam... didn't cut the mustard then Roger.. Mine keeps on pressing each button in turn if they alarm until it shuts up, after dinner will announce that an alarm came up but it's ok it's not anymore and the car is still going very well. By now she has no idea which button actually shut it up so muggins has to investigate with the evidence in hiding, don't you love them. I have told her not to touch the traction control one because believe me it is her best friend she is a very fast driver, and she is fine with that because she understands the thinking behind it. Richard you can tell her now on good authority that if she dares to touch the traction control button it will disappear into the dashboard never to be seen again.

There was a lonely owl sheltering from the rain in the garden this morning.... I asked him where his girlfriend was... He replied..... "Too wet to woo"

Roger she is now saying how do we know that they all do that? Which interpreted means she will now have to press it to prove to herself and us that they do or don't all do that, 0ugger.
After 43 years of marriage you get to know a little of what to expect not much just a little. She is my work in progress and I think I thank you for your help and advice I'll let you know if the dash swallows the button or spits it out on the mats or hopefully no reaction, but try she will.

Sounds a bit like... Whatever you do, don't press that. That comment means they WILL press it out of curiosity! It happened on machines in our factory..... A bit like the "Wet Paint" sign.... you know you want to test it!

As it says on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "Please do not press this button again" Sounds a bit like... Whatever you do, don't press that. That comment means they WILL press it out of curiosity! It happened on machines in our factory..... A bit like the "Wet Paint" sign.... you know you want to test it!

BTW Quote. "It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination." End of Quote. Quote. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
"The major problem - one of the major problems, for there are several - one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well known fact, that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem.
And so this is the situation we find: a succession of Galactic Presidents who so much enjoy the fun and palaver of being in power that they very rarely notice that they're not.
And somewhere in the shadows behind them - who?
Who can possibly rule if no one who wants to do it can be allowed to? " End of Quote. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
