What a great Morganning weekend. thumbs
Good to meet so many TMers on Saturday and Sunday. And to be able to spend so much time chatting, not just about Morgans. Haven't done many miles over the weekend, with living so close to both venues, but thoroughly enjoyed myself nonetheless! smile

Just got wet coming home..............

What was I thinking taking the roof down when I left work?

I almost made only the last few miles - where I have to stop at junctions etc!

Enormous fun.
Lots of people to talk to.
A Morgan to drive.
What could be better?

Poor little wipers!

Just got home - some BIG bug hit my windscreen and when a say big I mean BIG!

My wipers made my windscreen look as if someone had smeared a 1/4 lber cheese burger over it! Poor little things didn't do a very good job even after almost emptying the washer bottle (which most of ended up on me)

The rest of the drive was a pleasant trundle though after work.

That sounds really good John no more sitting at airports and staying in hotels - it's like starting again with heaps of energy you will love it.

I burnt my passport on my last day to ensure I'd never fly long one's again. thumbs

Nice one . Alas it is 706 days away, unless the boss upset me. Thanks to Mr Osbourne's reforms on pensions I can afford to go sooner.

Nominally mine is 631 days but like you I could go at any time. I'm not jumping as there could be a nice severance package: why?

Well the sale of my employer, for a paltry US$ 17 billions, moves to a close, probably in early August. All of the posturing and positioning of senior management is entertaining to watch, but distracts from running a business and looking to the future. But there will be job losses from rationalisation, so it is wise to wait.

My role is, in effect, on hold as we can't do anything new. The structure of the management tree above me has yet to be clarified so I can't start any new Tactical Business Development project as I don't know who the Board Sponsor will be, or even if we will have funding. No one is worried as the business we build over the last 10 years continues to grow at 26% or more pa. This half year we are almost 30% up on last year!!

So I'm reduced to finishing up existing projects and looking at "Blue Sky" stuff, such as thanks to the news last night, the Pharmaceutical Industry Opportunity in Iran. It will be well into late 2016 before I can start anything new and by then I'll be close to retirement and will have no interest in starting anything I can't finish.

I'm very pleased to have got involved with MSCC, it is a welcome distraction!
