I have now sold two Five Speed Three Wheelers, and neither was an easy disposal, in fact the 2nd one I traded in to get the current 4 seater +4.
So the lesson is that while you have cash you have the upper hand, so do not be rushed into a purchase, there will be another one along soon which is better and cheaper.
Sadly I would suggest that a 2012 with no upgrades would only be worth around £20k now and a 2013 with no upgrades about £23k-£24k.
That wouldn't stop me buying another one some day, but you have to know what you are getting into, this forum spells it out.

Probably about right, those estimates of value. Sadly, this is in normal car territory and is not particularly welcome. Hey ho - better keep it forever then! Can't see the values dropping much below this level... ever! And expect they will rise again once the M3W is banned (which can only be a matter of time!!)

Absolutely right Wiscos, those that want one should be prepared to keep them and love them for what they are, like a wayward child who is essentially good at heart and means well.

Ledgerwood Morgan has 2 2012 3 wheelers for sale, both a shade under £23000, the black one is Phil Ledgerwoods car and will have been serviced and fettled to a very high standard, the blue one has also been looked after by Ledgerwoods and has proved to be very reliable doing numerous continental trips, as far as what upgrades have been done you would have to enquire but both have done enough miles to have had the problems sorted.

I sold my 2012 3W recently and whilst it had some of the upgrades, it did not have them all and definitely did not have the fan-blowing capability, etc, etc. However with the extra steering wheel, it did sell for well in excess of £25K and the first buyer who came to see it for sale bought it without even a test drive and no negotiation. I think that the spec pays a large part in the sale and if the buyer intends to upgrade his soon to be 'Pride and Joy', then any extras fitted are regarded as a bonus!

I'll keep my M3W for a while. She was never purchased as an investment but for fun. Now close to 20.000km on the clock. Most of bugs eliminated and the fun increases. That's the pure value of the M3W: FUN!

"I think that the spec pays a large part in the sale"
I'm sure this is true, and mine were both standard cars, apart from small things like a proper rear mudguard and a parcel shelf, etc.
