I thought the 'Little black things' we're just there for Type Approval and surplus to requirements once you'd pushed off from the garage forecourt? Good point.

The Wiper Blades that Morgan use are of, well, limited use. They seems to speer rather than wipe. Now 7.5" blades with 5.2mm bayonette connections are not exactly common, but TEX Automotive offer 8" ones with a "modern" sprung back to the blade. Look at Cat No B05108 about half way down the page, click on the photo for a big picture. Blade I'm seriusly thinking of getting a set. The extra half inch should fit OK, Has anyone else tried these? Could they be worse? I doubt it. Would they look "right"? Not certain.... Might be worth getting one to test it. Did you get a price?

No details of price or ways to buy on their web site.

Peter, I looked that the 8 inch option and worked out that, on my Plus4, the lower part of the 8 inch wiper blade would foul the windscreen rubber/frame at the bulkhead. So did not go ahead with that option.

Apparently Landrover blades work but need the bottom end cut off for clearance. I will check for the endcaps too, I have seen them on a parts site somewhere but can't remember which one yet.

Peter, I looked that the 8 inch option and worked out that, on my Plus4, the lower part of the 8 inch wiper blade would foul the windscreen rubber/frame at the bulkhead. So did not go ahead with that option. I think it all depends on the position of the arm attachment on the blade: if proportioned as on the OEM, with a longer part above the attachment than below, it will fit. Based on the dirty pattern on my screen I have nearly 5/8" clearance "free". So a blade that is overall 1/2" longer should be fine. The only certain way to know is to try....

As a trial I have removed the central arm and blade. [and being a tight git 2 is less than 3 when buying blades]I have found there is a lot more effort in the other two, and the swept area is only slightly less in the middle. seems to work better in heavy rain.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
