I would suggest that is a new chassis.

I will now await my recall from Morgan, or my dealer to contact me regarding this important update.
It will never happen but I will wait a few days before I make the phone call. Thank goodness for this site and for the members in the know.

Good photos, it looks like the original bolt in cross brace would not work with the cooling kit as it would foul the fan.

The original bolt in cross brace tube does clear the Urban Cooling Kit fan Dab. To me this looks more like it is a bolt in modification to give the same strengthening effect as the welded triangulation brace on the newer chassis. Easier to install as a bolt in item, rather than welding with the engine fitted. Good information and photos Chris99.

I wonder if French cars will have to be returned to the UK for this mod, especially as mine is down in the south, where there is not even a proper service dealer. Given that my 2012 M3W was back in the UK a few weeks ago, which Morgan knew about, I am more than a little peeved that this was not mentioned, as it would have been very easy to get the car to Malvern to get this done.

I guess the beauty of this kit is that it can be fitted anywhere by anyone who can use a spanner - so no need to fill up the Pickersleigh Road workshops!

Surely this is a weld in mod to the chassis not a spanner job?
