Well I have done 585 miles since replacing the grease in the king pins with the Red n Tacky stuff. The ride is still very good and the ease of steering is as should be. So far so good. I intend to do at least another 200 miles unless things fell like stiffening up. by the way a good third of the mileage was on bumpy roads.

Well I thought it was time to update on this.

So since switching to Lucas Red n Tacky I have done 2200 miles with two proper king pin greasings, that is pump top first until it comes out and then the bottom. I did do a quick bottom only at 1600 miles as I had a 400 mile day trip, then went to 2200. I have to say that I am rather impressed with this grease. Steering feels generally lighter, and suspension is better, if the makers claims are right I think it is providing better lubrication over sliding surfaces.

So I will be continuing to use it.
