Ah I see now what they are doing. There are two different mods, a welded in version and a bolted in version.
IMHO, a much better mod if you don't want or need to fit the cooling fan would be to retain the side to side bar but add the A frame bars, as that would tie the whole thing together much better. This would be a bit like the strut braces I have on my 911 RSR, which as well as tying the two strut towers together, has separate braces going down to the centre of the front floor pan in the luggage area - see not very good photo below (this was taken on Scottish Malts Trial to show how every cubic inch of the luggage area was full of stuff at the start of the rally.
I guess the beauty of this kit is that it can be fitted anywhere by anyone who can use a spanner - so no need to fill up the Pickersleigh Road workshops!
Surely this is a weld in mod to the chassis not a spanner job?
No welding involved - mine was fitted by my dealer Bell & Colvill.
The mounting to the cross tube is basically a split larger diameter tube which bolts around the esiting crossmember. It then looks as if the diagonal strut braces go across to the upper wishbones. I didn't look too closely beforehand so can't comment on whether the wishbones are new, have new mountings attached or are using existing mounts.
I understand the parts are available from Morgan so your local dealer can presumably order them.
I have the cooling fan upgrade so it definately fits with that installed.
I must say that I've not noticed any difference in the ride or handling, but I did have the Centra compensator fitted at the same time which has transformed the car.
Hmm I wish I could understand how those bolt joints can effectively transfer the transient forces which start cracks.
About a year ago I demanded for triangulation to be added to my car. Its been working well. As the first retrofit, it has thicker piping than these examples and required some bits to be changed.
I sent an email to Morgan yesterday, asking what the situation was on the kit, especially for folk like me, who are nowhere near a service dealer. I would have no trouble fitting the bolt in kit myself, as I have a pretty full kit of tools in France.
This is the arrangement on my late 2013 car - is there any differences between this and 2014 , 2015 cars? At risk of post drift , I would like to understand what the 'current' arrangement is - any pictures from owners of recent models please ? Thanks
Hummmmmm I just come back From the factory where my MTW has had his new chassis The Chassis was broken And i dont believe than a repaired kit chassis Could be efficient .

I don't think this is a repair kit, if the chassis is broken then a new one will be required.
This kit, as I understand it, is to strengthen the early chassis without the need for a complete strip down and the welding in of additional gussets and support tubes. This is not the best solution but if it eliminates the problem then it's fine by me. I am hoping that it is a job that can be done in a few hours while I wait, Krazy Horse has yet to advise an installation date and time required.
