The pic shows a Roadster ECU, but the position is about the same regarding the 4/4, underneath the black anti theft box. Just open the driver's side (in your country) bonnet.

I remember seeing a scientific article about nano compound protection products that were sprayed onto electronic equipment...pcb, switches etc. full immersion into water post spray and the items worked perfectly.
The water just fell off the pcb etc when lifted out of water.
I will delve to see if i can find the details.
NOT ACF or WD40 type stuff!!
Full nano product chemicals.
