The reason I ask is with my car arriving soon I'm starting to think seriously about squeezing my 3 cars into a 6m x 6m garage. (RS4, MX5, M3W). On paper they do fit fine although it will need both cars out of the garage and a bit of juggling to get the M3W in and out across the back, not helped by the apparent lack of turning circle.
Another option is to raise the M3W on a hoist enough to park the nose of one of the others under it. I've found a low height hoist that will do the job fine.
Is the underside of the chassis suitable for the hoist pads or does the body get in the way? Any suggestions appreciated. The arms have lower pads than those pictured.
Would be cheaper Philip but you'd have to jack the car each time. There are slightly more expensive versions that also jack the car and will be more convenient.
Philip NZ-both my mechanic & one fellow MTW owner I know, uses, very successfully, the twin post type of hoist you showed in yr foto. Not only can you store another car below, but you also have unrivalled access to the U/S of yr MTW for inspection/maintenance.
Thanks guys. Found some Go Jacks locally that will do the trick. I never knew they existed. I'll wait until the car arrives and do some juggling before I commit.
