I'm guessing that I have never seen Silver wire wheels on a Morgan... I've seen black and Stainless polished wire wheels... Are the silver wheels painted? Anyone have a picture that shows them well? Are they nice? Thanks G

I had silver painted wires on my Morgan for many years until I replaced them with black ones. They look fine, and in my opinion are much more suited to a traditional car than chrome or stainless wires, which are a bit too ostentatious and "blingy" to sit well with a Morgan. There's a pic of my car with them on at https://www.flickr.com/photos/39307572@N05/5458094553/in/album-72157625961810061/

Mine are silver however I am thinking of having them powder coated a dark red to match the interior trim which I always thinks looks good.

Wheels painted to match the interior trim is always a good idea. I reckon they'll look great!

Both of you also own a defender... I feel surrounded by brethren... Mine's a 2014 Defender 90 I need to add a signature to my messages... So I think I get it now they are a matt silver painted version. Looks just like the wheels on my neighbours MGA Thanks G

2014 Defender, there's posh! Ours is a 90" Hardtop with the Td5 engine, a great workhorse.

For me painted wires look best in black, body colour or silver on any Morgan. I believe painted silver are now standard on 4/4s with black or body colour being an extra cost option. I'm a Defender owner too - 2011 SWB Station Wagon in Keswick Green with painted steel wheels!

Silver wheels on my white 4/4. I don't think I would change them for another colour. The photo is not a close up but you will get the picture.
