I bought a Librands and am delighted with the note it makes on my Sigma 4/4.

Similarly on my 4/4 Kent Engine.

Great, but it depends on how much you want to spend on a bit of noise, personally, I'm too mean to spend hundreds on a new system.

I had a Harpers Stainless exhaust with side exit on my previous Morgan, a Kent engined 4/4. It had a wonderful sound. It was able to set off car alarms along the way.

The noise contributed to my wife swmbo forcing me to buy a new and more civilised Morgan plus 4.

We had the Plus 4 SS exhaust fitted to our car when we purchased it. It did wonders for performance but was forever throwing a MIL light and was decidedly loud when given the gas. The 200 cell cat was changed for a 400 cell cat, there was a noticible reduction in low to mid range torque but the sound output became a little more civilised.

Exhaust noise- as personal as your favourite colour.

Take off the tail pipe as far back as the silencer and then put a Librands 90 deg short pipe on !!

My old 4/4 with Kent came with an excellent stainless steel exhaust system. So excellent that it Sounds like a 2 cylinder John Deere tractor at idle and my mate complains that he doesn't know I've arrived until I ring the doorbell whereas with the GTI he gets so much notice he's able to chill the glasses and pour the beer before I pull into his driveway.

I need to do something about this but reckon it must be possible to fit a simple sports muffler instead of the huge, long, expensive thing that is on there. And for a lot less than approx 650 euros - which would be the cost of a Librands plus freight.

Any tips?
