We are indebted to Jay for giving us a private tour and so much of his time during what was an incredibly enjoyable day.
I must say having read all the posts on my initial order, I personally think all Morgans are equal in terms of being able to put a massive grin on your face every time you go out in them. Everyone has their own personal preferred model and long may we all continue to enjoy them.

Congratulations, that's the perfect colour, not that I'm biased innocent, it will be one sexy beast. thumbs

Perhaps I should have held back from the Cayman, traded the Z4 and Roadster in and ordered a Plus8! And used the Alfa as my normal day to day bolide?

Mind you that would have meant I'd taken Worthers build slot and he'd have been stuck until next year!! And, whilst not a Morgan, the Caymans scratching a long standing itch very well indeed.

I thought your Cayman looked superb, great colour and I'm sure loads of fun.
Enjoy and thanks for not taking what I was told is the last +8 build slot for quite some time.
Got to say I still cannot believe I've gone for the Auto, I went down absolutely determined to stick with the manual, but what a revelation, you get two cars in one. One nice relaxed touring car and in what I call sport/manual mode an absolute beast.
It's going to seem a long long wait till November.

Cannot argue with the facts, I'm getting to be nearly as old as my 3 wheeler!
And after a trip in that you need all the comfort you can get!

Slippers, crusing holidays? redcard

No, not really. Lots of time to enjoy...yes.

The Plus 8 isn't a sports car in the true sense, that is the 4/4. Great little thing, being thrown round Chester's roundabouts, rear tyres complaining yet at less than 40mph in Davids little monster was a joy.

The Plus 8 is for efortless, comfortable long distances. You need a lot of space and big b***s to do the hooligan thing in a Plus 8....

Horses for courses.

Perfection would be both. Or a Plus 8 and a M3W. grouphug

Perhaps MMC should offer matching quilted slippers with every Plus 8.
In fact I could be quite tempted by Morgan branded slippers. I think there's a gap in the market.

Sounds great and we all look forward to seeing the first photos. smile

In terms of 'auto', it's a paddle shift with the auto option. It's the same arrangement in use by Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston etc The big V8 really suits the paddle shift system - you can drive it in town using just the 'go' pedal or use the paddles for more spirited driving. For smaller engines, where you need to wring every ounce of performance from an engine, then a manual is a good choice, for a nearly 5 litre engine, paddles work extremely well. You can blast by most things without breaking a sweat. smile

I'll let Angie in the shop know.....you never know, they could catch on!
We are doing a rather nice hoody with Morgan logo now which will go very nicely with a Lewis Hamilton style baseball cap for the New Plus 8 owners hide Oh......and some rather nice new greetings cards as well....plug, plug!
