Same here Contis let the back end throw out in a low speed RH turn in the wet.

Will go carefully the rest of this winter and get new rubber at the end of summer.

I keep my rear tyres well scrubbed...

Still loads of tread, but now five years old, so I should probably look at some new ones. Currently Continental Contact.

I put on Dunlops as they had the best wet rating.

I had Continental Contact Sport on my Fiesta and they went slippery very quickly in the wet when getting worn.
The Vredestein Sportrac3 on the Morgan are wearing very well and are still sticky in the wet and dry.
I am looking at the Dunlop Sport Blue Response when it comes to replace them as they are coming out best in the current tyre tests and available in the Morgan tyre size.

And they are very quiet also

Very little appears to be available in 165/55/R15 :-(

I only found Federal 595Evo 165/55R15. I have no idea about their quality.

Go to 185X70X15 then you can have CR6 ZZ

I have federals fitted
They are new ish , (2000 miles use)
No problems wet or dry.
As a biker I have great respect for wet roads (especially after a dry spell)30yrs advanced grade one police also helps, I don't hang around nor drive like miss daisy
Sounds more like the driver needs to drive according to the conditions
