It just goes to show the lure of the Cosworth name! I think that is a large part of the case!

Cosworth are aware that those under the age of 35 have little or no knowledge of the brand.. There are aspects of the ARP4 that 'should' be cascaded down to regular P4's over time.. Longer cabins for example.

I'm not a Morgan expert by any means, I have however owned five Morgan models over 10 years, in my opinion Morgan need to sort out the "problems" with their other models before extracting more money from their loyal customers with as yet an untested new model, the plus 4 ss has engine/ecu problems, the roadster again ecu problems, the three wheeler cracking exhausts, worn pulleys, cracking chassis, I had an engine issue with my 2010 roadster which the dealer and the factory denied there was a problem, I was told by my dealer it was the way I drove it! I currently drive a plus 4, with all the speed humps, cameras, road works and new 50 speed limits all round West Yorkshire I find it has plenty of power for todays roads in the UK. Just my opinion. ARP4 does look nice (apart from lights) but £60.000 would buy some very nice used Morgans. Previous Morgans : 2004 4/4, 2006 +4, 2010 Roadster, 2006 Aero 8, 2015 Plus 4.

Over the years Cosworth have worked with Ford, Mercedes and Subaru to produce performance saloon editions. They are also used in various states of tune in the Duratec Caterhams. I think Morgan linking its performance range to Cosworth is very good PR and as they probably come crated and ready to go, less risk and known assembly costs.

My first decent car was a 1986 Mercedes Cosworth 190 2.3-16v. Manual of course :-) I loved that car. Could out perform most V8's at the time.
Great news that Morgan have almost sold the lot. No surprise really.

it's a tribute to Morgan's marketing and product planning that they have nearly sold all of the production for a car for which there is not even a fully working car

"As has been said lets hope that the key elements cascade down into the mainstream trad range."
Which itself raises an interesting question. Which key elements would we like to see in the mainstream range of Trads?
The headlights of course..........no, only joking.
The rear suspension in its' entirety, the improved internal insulation, but not the humped rear, central exhaust, or fancy interior.
What else?
