we had the same situation on last Saturday. We were just behind a young girl at a traffic light. Just after a view seconds she start to drive backwards without any reaction on my horn. I think she didn't saw our small and flat Moggie in the mirror.
On her car there was only the plastic surrounding of the licence plate damaged. But my left wing was moved about 5 cm inside, my headlamp shines just 30 cm in front of the car and I have some cracks in the paint in the welding area of the headlamp.
But I'm more lucky then you, because the father of the girl accept everything and his assurance will pay the damage. And I had no witness, only my wife.
Today I got the information from my garage, the repair is going to costs 11000 €!!! Only the new frontwing costs around 7500 €. Every part will be changed with new parts because the car is only 13 months old. The garage told my it could be done also much cheaper, only by pulling out the Front wing. Than it will costs only half the price.
Now i know why I have made a full inssurance for my Moggie.
