When I was 9 I had a pal in the village ( Houghton on the Hill Leicestershire).
He went to a private school and his dad ran/ owned a factory in Leicester .
They had a double garage and in one half was a Morgan 2 seater.
It was Ivory with red leather and had a bonnet strap.
We used to sit in it ...and take turns in the drivers seat.
Very very occasionally his dad took it out ...once or twice year at a guess.
This was in 1957 ...yes I really am that old!
So it took me 57 years to own one of my own!
Well worth the wait!
Neil

I was also 9. A friend in the village had a 1956 +4 and quite often i used to be a third passenger sitting in the space behind the seats. Fond memories of those days.

Early 70's at the Motor Show in the NEC. It was a yellow 4/4 and it was the only car in the entire show that I was allowed to sit in. I vowed that I would have one some day. That day arrived 35+years later, but having bought six in the last eight years, I am making up for lost time! Don.

My parents ordered an MG at the Earls Court show in 1948 for delivery in Australia. My father examined the Morgan very closely but decided on the MG, colour sky blue (not the official name of the colour). I can't ask either of my parents now but I immagine that they sat in the Morgan and I would have been in my mother's lap, at the time I would have been about 1 and a half.

Only a couple of years ago - my first drive was the red +8 factory mule at a private track day at Goodwood. I'm not sure I liked it very much either. It took the Roadster to make me appreciate the 8.
