Does anyone know a quick method of adjusting the offside wing mirror if you do not have anyone around to position it while you are in the drivers seat. I have the trad circular mirrors and when I need to adjust it requires trips out of the car to
Position it and return to the drivers seat to check the view. I have considered buying a gripper that old folks use who cannot bend down to pick up things! Howecer I may advertise for a young lady to travel with me in the wife's absence that could do the job!

My arms are long enough.
I do it from the inside...

...but I have no sidescreens in place.

Isn't that the nearside that's the tricky one - unless yours is left hand drive?

I asked my (then) 13 year old son to help with mine, it took about an hour! An adult seems to have more control of fine movements. smile

Try asking a 16 year old

Shrugs shoulders and walks off

Still waiting

You should only have to do it once Roger, unless you have to fold them in to get it in the garage. I'm sure we can find a young lady to help you today at Bradbourne House!

I manage it quite well with the side screens off.
With them on it is a bugger to do.

I find if I croach down at the back end of the near side of the car, eyes level with the mirror, adjust it so that I can see the drivers headrest it is more or less in the right position. However, a young lady to assist is more appealing!

I set mine so that the top edge of the rear wings are just visible. It usually takes about three trips for the nearside.
