I'm not sure how I managed this, but I recently lost a spring off one of my wipers. As a result, the wiper now arcs beautifully, but doesn't actually make contact with the screen.
While this is great in terms of "saving wear & tear on the wiper blades", it isn't too hot on the "clearing rain from the screen" front.
I have seen replacement arms (at over £30 each!) but not replacement springs on a cursory search.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem and could share a source for these springs?

Well I have the scars and post traumatic memories to cover most things to do with 'old' cars......... Having started out with a hammer and some secondhand open-enders sort of makes one resourceful. The Internet saves time. Oh and I don't know what I don't know
