Very sad to hear of the death of someone so loved in the Morgan community

I don't know of Richard but perhaps someone who knew him can just expand as way of a tribute on his thread as to his photography and Morgan association

It is with great sadness that I must inform all of those who knew my Dad that he unexpectedly collapsed last night and unfortunately passed away here at our house after the paramedics were unable to resuscitate him. I have never felt as much pain as what I feel now, for those of you that knew him you will know just what an interesting, caring and genuine person he was, he had time for everyone and always looked for the best in people. He truly lived life to the full and whilst I am a keen believer that when it is your time to go it is your time to go I feel like we have all been robbed of a life far too young. There will be an irreplaceable hole in my life forever, he was a man that meant so much to so many different people and was the most amazing Dad I could have ever asked for. Ironically there are very few photographs of him, as many of you will know one of his passions was photography and as such he spent most of his time behind the lens taking some of the most wonderful pictures I have ever seen. Fortunately I have found one picture and it will be how i'll always remember him, driving a Morgan with a big stupid grin on his face, posing and looking silly. Thank you to everyone who has already written to my family, words cannot describe what your messages mean to us.
I will miss you and never forget how much you have done for me, the special memories of which there are so many will remain with me forever. Love you forever you amazing man x

Thank you Perer for posting Jame's tribute. Only 4 years older than me & just shocking. My last memory of Richard was when we were at Chateau Impney & we were laughing as he took photos of us drinking champagne through the wire fence with Jays which appeared in last months smog Mag. Such a nice man.

Thank you for posting James very sad and thoughtful words when one loses a loved parent.

I did not know Richard but my thoughts and condolences go out to his family at this sad time.

I met his eldest son James this afternoon. He's very pleased that we are posting on TM about his dad and I know he'd be only too happy that his Facebook posting was posted here as well. He knows just how many people in the Morgan world that his dad touched, either in friendship, or meeting them at one of the many events he attended...like Thrill on the Hill, or pointing his ever present camera lens at, or through his photography and the regular monthly "One Man and his MOG - Diary of a Mog Nut" in MOG magazine.....and he's keen that they all know what's happened.

I've lots of great memories of Richard and many photos of him but I think that this one captures his boyish enthusiasm for life and all things Morgan!

Truly shocked to hear of Richard's passing.

Dianne & I met Richard many times over the last fourteen years, and he was always great company.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad, sad time.
