Great photos Keith. Watched the Channel Four programme this evening, which great but a poor substitute for the real thing.....I wished I'd set the alarm a couple of hours earlier!

Have had the pleasure of the BBMF Spitfire and Hurricane flying very low and both very close in formation right over the top of us last year at the Little Casterton vintage machinery demo , feel sorry for any ME109 being chased !!!
( the sound of the Merlin is to die for ! )

Was it just down to the sheer number of people trying to get there or an accident?
Worthers +8 Terrible luck John, we were much luckier - left Windsor at 9.00 am, parked up at Goodwood at 11.40 so about an hours queuing. Not bad in the circumstances, but feel bad that your own experience did not work out the same. Great event, we felt honoured that we were able to witness this event and honour the few pilots that still remain from the 'few' and the many who tragically died to protect our freedoms and way of life in the Battle of Britain. Well done to Lord March for allowing a full house to be there with free tickets. A very generous gesture even if a bacon sarnie was £5.00!

Sorry to say I had planned to go but had to work due to last minute changes.. Just got home and up at 5 am for more tomorrow!
By the sound of it I may not have got there anyway... Sorry John to hear your woes..

Just watched it on Australian TV. The sight of a Spitfire flying low brings a lump to the throat as you think just how brave the pilots were and what an important role they played.  "Their finest hour...."
