Hi - I keep having an intermittent problem with my main beam light not functioning? Some time it does and some times it takes a couple of seconds to light up. I thought the dealer had fixed it but apparently not. Anyone else had this and if so what cured it?

Does it have a relay fitted?

Had this on both lamps at different times, each time it was a bad earth, cured by running a fly lead from bulb plug to a lamp bucket screw. Easier option than trying to find the problem in the loom.

Not sure if it has a relay - its a 2014 reg 2015 car probably one of the last before GDI. Are these lights all linked to a circuit board? It came back on again this morning - so its a frustrating intermittent fault. If it is a circuit board I guess it would make it more difficult to earth?

Check the bullit connectors under the front wings that was the cause on my 2010 Duratec. Don't know if yours still uses them.
