A trip to pick up the Kent engined 4/4 from the garage where it has been for a week being fettled for the next trip to the testing station. The garage is an "old timer specialist" and seems to have solved the problem of it not meeting the exhaust gas measurements. A complete clean of the webber, some new gaskets and setting the tappets correctly seems to have helped. We'll see. The trip back was a blast, 20 mins of country roads, until hitting the city traffic where the usual idiots were cutting in and making me nervous about those alluring aluminum wings.

I took the plus 8 up to Castle Combe today in glorious weather to attend the mini world action day. What a show with some amazing engine conversions and very spirited driving on the track.

Flipping heck - there must be more rattles off the Mini Bar than s Miorgan. And that's saying something!

Yes out to Williams and back today, nippy early but sunny run home.

Thinking on the way back that I have done over 2000 miles in my new plus 4 and I could count on one hand (well maybe both hands) the number of 'interesting' cars I have met on the road.

Where have they all gone? Is it rising values that keep them in garages? Pity if so..

A ride out to Harvington Hall between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster with Budster and the LLB in Stanley. Lovely weather, interesting old pile and rather nice cake with the tea.
Peering down into the moat Simon and I spotted fish!

Spotted you two heading for the other Harvington (Evesham) on Friday afternoon.

We were in the tiptop and tried to wave as we pulled into our driveway, but difficult with other traffic about.

I am now using mine for one it's original intended purposes - the 35 mile drive (about an hour) to take and pick up my son from his school at weekends. Taking him home in a burbling Morgan is a joy. smile we both enjoy it immensely.

Take a look at Autocar this week: there is a feature on the Aventador SV: the journo had it for a day and picked up his daughter from school. Obviously had an impact on the yummy mummies...
