The blue enamel paint infill on my +4 bonnet badge (the one over the radiator) has mostly flaked away.
Does anyone know the right colour to use to restore it? Is there a preferred paint type?

I would go for Humbrol modelling paint. Cheap as chips and you can mix & match. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HUMBROL-Enamel...=item4d2d335705Midnight blue gloss looks quite close.

I used car paint - but changed it to body colour so the badge matches the car. I drop the paint in with a cocktail stick & push it around to fill the gaps. I think also that if I did it again I might experiment with glass paint which should give a shiny translucent effect.

Whatever paint you use, finishing off with a two pack epoxy resin varnish gives a finish close to real glass enamel and gives a really tough non yellowing seal.
Available on ebay from suppliers of fishing rod building supplies. Used for sealing rod whipping.

Beavers nuts are waterproof hence swim on their bellies. Squirrels on their backs. Beavers don't mind wet nuts but squirrels do...
