Final question of the day; is it worth forking out for the tonneau with the mohair hood pack? Does anyone/everyone use one? Will I regret it if I don't get one? Your experience much appreciated.

Personally I don't use it, often I have the screens up (SWMBO prefers it) and the tonneau is a pain to fold anywhere neatly behind the seats. Plus the headrests have to come out. I have the cover that goes over the folded hood and use that mostly and a storm cover for when it gets serious.

I have one, it does not get used!
Roof up or roof down so it's really wasted.
My wife prefers the side screens fitted so the tonneau
stays in the garage

I use mine a lot - more for "security" than anything else....

I'd use mine more if/when I get the 3 zip conversion carried out on it.

On hold as other cars routine wear and tear and servicing costing me money at the moment!

I have had cars with them & I found in winter with no passenger you can cover that seat even with side screens on. You then stay toasty warm below the tonneau.

Also good for security. Get the 3 zip version with pockets for the head rest

I use mine all the time when driving alone, and stops stuff blowing out from behind the seats when tucked back and zipped up for security when parked. Don't use the hood or side screens much (or windscreen if dry). It really depends on how you intend to use the car so there is no real answer I reckon.

Previously never owned one for a Morgan and thought they were not something I would use, then spent a weeks holiday with fellow Morgan owners and saw how quick and convenient they were so I ordered one for a 4 seater, bit of a beast due to size and my current 2 seater came with one and I love it. Side screen tend to always be on and I am mostly solo and as someone else said I can load up the passengers seat with maps, spare caps and scarves etc. And when parked it's 30 seconds to being covered. Not that I shall order another new Morgan but if I did it would be on the list of things to add. Rather than remove headrests when they are fitted I move the back rests forward.

One point to note on a new car order - if you do not specify a tonneau then there will be no lift the dot pegs on the dashboard making changing your mind later a tad awkwards or expensive.

We do not use the tonneau often, but the lift-the-dot peg in the middle serves as an anchor point for the sat nav mount I have made up.

The Nagivator is always worrying about something. Her current gripe is the potential for things to fly out of the back when we are touring. Getting tempted to order a half-tonneau from Allon White - or even a two part tonneau that joins just behind the seats to make securing the car whilst touring a quick job.

I've got one, I find it very useful this time of the year. As others have said keeps the heat in when it's chilly, keeps the water out if you hit a shower and easy to zip up for security.
