The rally world sometimes use the coast road of the Great Orme as a closed road special stage. Great to watch. Would be a great TOTH style event though, especially interesting when you come down the hill and have to do that left turn on to the marine drive as I had to back up to swing round is it's that tight.

We had a lovely drive out this morning with about sixty other classics around the south pembrokeshire coast, carrot cake and a coffee at Angle beach for breakfast and a cheese burger and a tea at the Sunderland museum to finish. The Morgan has never gone so slow but top off and T shirt weather made up for it.

Went to the Allon White breakfast meet , excellent talk by chap who drove the most famous race cars ever with pics and met many of the drivers. I parked next to a white speedster which was very very nice and talked to the owner , great morning !

We travelled down to Cornwall this morning. Saw white E Type on M4, then a pale blue Turner. Hood down and driver in sheepskin. Then early Mustang in pale green. Finally a yellow Caterham.

Yesterday. Decide I have to get out or succumb to cabin fever after several weeks of computer slavery. It's a Morgan friendly 20 degree c day and an auto jumble abut 45 mins away looks like the right destination. However I choose the moment when everyone else decides to depart the city in a southerly direction. 45 minutes of stop-go and then open road and we can achieve cloth cap critical speed. A green E-type tears past also top down. Another big tail-back approaching the auto jumble. The fire-brigade is dousing the last of the flames on what was once a lovely Merc 270 SL by the side of the road. It is completely burnt-out. Mental note: Install fire extinguisher!
Nothing to tempt me at the auto jumble so I plot the scenic route home through Berndorf (where nice cutlery comes from) Alland and Heiligenkreuz. In between villages there are nice sweeping turns, a few good straights and some steep winding climbs. A red MGA and a red MGB are spotted and of course we acknowledge each others taste in cars. The trip takes an hour, then back in the garage, wash off the bugs and cabin fever is cured.

Good to read you were back on the road yesterday. Was perfect weather for some milage with the hood down but sidescreens up because of the strong wind. BTW: I went to Vienna city center with the red one and detected an Australian pub in Maysedergasse right behind the opera. Grasshoppers, kangaroo burgers and Australian ale on the menue!

Yesterday we went to Southampton to see #1 son & then onto Alresford for the SwanMog dinner on the Watercress line in Pullman cars pulled a steam engine.
We made it a black tie event which was fun & stayed at the Swan Inn (where else).
A big thanks to Tim Marsh for the organisation.
The boss didn't fancy Brooklands s owe ambled our way cross country back to Amersham in glorious sunny weather.

A blast across Exmoor, saw a lot of classics queuing to cross the ford in Winsford. No idea where they were going, might have followed but didn't fancy the ford it looked deep.

Not the Morgan today sadly. Stayed overnight in the Peak District in lovely village called Tideswell. But all the lovely roads around that area are spoiled by what seems to be blanket 50mph speed limits, mad bikers....who caused the limits in the first place....and more speed cameras than you can shake a stick at. Coming back through Leek, there were speed cameras every 100 yards or so for quite some distance.

Took the plus 8 up to the Haynes Motor Museum Breakfast Meeting. An early start in the fog but a lovely sunny drive home.
