My +8 has had an unfortunate liaison with a little old lady, who launched an unprovoked first strike on the right rear wing whilst the car was parked.
It is an insurance job (wing and wheel). However, things have ground to a halt as, according to the Morgan dealer who is sorting it, the factory have said they are not supplying new steel wings any longer, only alloy. I am told that the alloy wings have a slightly different profile, which will be noticeable. The dealer is chasing contacts regarding alternative suppliers of steel wings, but in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas/thoughts regarding sources?
You could try Steve ate VSM, (Vintage Sheet Metal) he makes steel bulkheads and inner wings, not sure whether he makes the outer wings in steel but I imagine he would know where to get a steel wing.

Thanks, both - VSM was my thought too, but I believe (=need to confirm) that he doesn't do outer wings. My previous +8 ended up with a VSM back panel (following an altercation with barriers at Harewood) and it was a real high quality item.
Only the newer cars....there's a Roadster being rebuilt in the chassis shop as we speak. It had a severe side impact. The factory does make new wood frames for older cars, restoration or repair and I've seen a fully panelled older body being built in the past.

Thanks for both of your contributions here - the shapes between steel and alloy do appear slightly different, and knowing this would drive me nutty, even though I could not see both sides simultaneously (in spite of what my offspring say, I'm not THAT swivel-eyed).
