I think it's great fun smile
They won't sell that many I'm sure - just enough to sort out their potential emissions issues. They will become cult cars no doubt, and it would be fun to have a small car with the level of luxury you would expect from a DB9...

Just hope they get the quality right - if they don't that could damage the brand.

I think it is the wrong platform but I like the idea and have always maintained that a small luxury car could (would) sell.

The one in the picture looks as if it's made from clay...

...frankly I wouldn't be interested. If I wanted a small car based on a Toyota IQ, I'd buy...a Toyota IQ.

As to the idea of a small luxury/quality car selling, Audi already tried that with the A2.

Have to say that I think the Toyota iQ itself is pretty cool.

Not sure about the Aston version however.

As for the A2 mentioned by Nigel - it was the case of right car, wrong time in my view.

Reading more on this the intention is to sell this to aston buyers as a second car and not to sell them on the open market.

By doing this aston solve their average fleet emissions issue with the eu, and make some extra wedge from aston buyers who (according to aston market research) mostly have second cars anyway and can and will spend additional cash on a prestige city car.

Seems like an ingenious strategy to generate additional sales revenue and save themselves a fortune in engine and hybrid drivetrain development in the short term....

I actually don't mind it. mr tony,s right again, its gonna be a cool must have for the girls about town.

If money was no object, its almost the ideal 3rd car. A big 4 x 4, a nice 2 seater sports car, and an aston-toy for your daughter grin2 (4th car would be a classic)
