I would certainly be interested in fitting bucket seats to my S4.
For me the standard seat backs although comfortable are just a bit too reclined.

Had wondered about speaking to the factory about the bucket seats of the style fitted to the Aero SS.

I am interested to see how you get on.

As regards the carbon pieces it strikes me that there would be enough people interested to negotiate a bulk discount.

The seats in the first Aero SS Robert are not the ones to be fitted to the production cars. I understand that the new seats, currently being developed, will have electrical adjustment - finally! thumbs

If you are thinking of swopping, it may be worth waiting for these.

The seats I am looking at will probably be either the seats from a challenge stradale (f360) or a gallardo superleggeria, I am checking dimensions to see what fits though. I might also consider porsche gt3 seats again dimensions are the issue.

Key aim is reduced weight, standard seats are very comfy and I want to retain that comfort so if its not clear I can retain the comfort then I'll probably leave it. Watch this space and we shall see.

In terms of mirrors, there is a strong possibility of getting a group discount. Currently I guess the key decision is whether to have aero mirrors or take the opportunity to fit aeromax style mirrors. I prefer the aeromax mirror, but not sure that the style works on the aero, be interested in opinions from the board..

Challenge Stradale Bucket Seats come in 3 sizes - depending on the occupant! Small, medium (most common) and large.

However the best bucket seats that I have experienced are those fitted to the most recent RS4 and available as a cost option on current RS6 and R8 models. They have inflatable side bolsters.

Thanks for the information Brian.

I was aware that the bucket seats on the Aero SS show car were not going to be fitted to the production car but wasn't aware that new seats were being developed. That is interesting - thanks.

The Elise Probax seats are well shaped and supportive. Definitely worth consideration.

Cheers
