Sounds good...agree 100% that auto with paddle shift is the way to go!

I shall be getting the roll bar once MMC has worked out how to do it, based on Brian's project.

Suggestions, based on 12 months and 8000 miles use:

Upholstery is tough, light colour looks good BUT muck tends to swirl into the cockpit from the rear of the car, unlike the Roadster. So keeping the inside clean is more work....

Think about the plastic stuff that protects the front and running boards.

I have a DAB radio, it works well, 5 Sport Extra is audible up to 65 or so, hood down.

The big questions are possibly:
1. Exhaust, side or rear and standard or sports exhaust.
2. Hood: easy up or traditional...

Another couple of suggestions

Libranbds Mk 5 door checks: far far better than the leather ones from the company.

Woolf Performance bonnet stays, for the same reason...
Leather inside side screens, look good and stop drafts.

OK, that is enough....

So perhaps a see through screen fitted to the hypothetical rollbar, to stop the backdraught, would be a good idea too idea

Some sound advice from Peter, I have added my own comments in black below...

The big questions are possibly:
1. Exhaust, side or rear and standard or sports exhaust.
2. Hood: easy up or traditional... Very much personal choice, personally I like the way the rear sports exhaust helps fills the rear void

Another couple of suggestions

Libranbds Mk 5 door checks: far far better than the leather ones from the company. Mine came with these as standard

Woolf Performance bonnet stays, for the same reason...Agreed, as you know mine have all ready been blown away by passing cars
Leather inside side screens, look good and stop drafts. thumbs Fitted

OK, that is enough....

Just a couple more, have the rear number plate dropped. Consider the Tillet seats, not cheap but very comfortable, after 650 miles in one day on our recent trip they were still comfortable.

Exciting times Crunchie, it is easier and probably cheaper, to have the built to your ideal spec, rather than adding or changing items post-delivery. After all that is what bespoke is all about, having the car you want... cheers flag

Brian,

I'm embarking on fitting audio to my car.
Do you know which Hirschmann aerial was fitted ? Is it supporting DAB?
AUTA 360 KA, AUTA 360 KB or HIT AUTA 330 KA

Superb car, huge fun, covered 1000 miles in first week of ownership. Unfortunately, the fun has come to a halt. I took the car out for a bimble on Monday and after a very spirited overtake the engine started to misfire and surge. Limped home and car was recovered to Melvyn Rutter this morning. First look says cam shaft sensor has gone Kaput!

Hi John

What's the latest with your car?
I may have missed any update.
Hoping it turned out to be something and nothing.....fingers crossed.

Sounds rather nice!
Glad to see the miles show lots of enjoyment!

Peter, are these an 'option' or a special made by someone? How is the leather fixed on to the screen? Are they much bulkier and harder to store?

I'm tempted.

Thanks

Hi Guys,
My Plus 8 is back at the factory at the moment. It seems it was indeed a cam shaft sensor that failed and the car has to be returned to the factory for the valve timing and all the associated auto mechanisms to be reset. frown
John.

How unusual and I guess that will be a warranty claim against BMW.
