It certainly sorts out one thing for England's post mortem of the tournament. We wouldn't have beaten that All Blacks team. I dread to think what the scoreline would look for an England/All Black final! As Fox says above, some really superb performances. I thought the Japan game was utterly brilliant - they really excelled.

Totally agree. Great final. Offloads and turnovers a major feature as apart from an occasional occurrence. Ball handling a different class. Scrums important but not if they are few and far between and your forwards can run, offload and turnover. Perhaps that is why the southern hemisphere head for a warm and dry Toulon as apart from Newcastle.

It certainly sorts out one thing for England's post mortem of the tournament. We wouldn't have beaten that All Blacks team. No, but playing well we would have beaten the others to end up in the final. Its not a problem of capability - we have even beaten the all blacks before now - so much as one of consistency. But then consistency is always the important bit. When I played golf, I could hit the ball as well as Jack Nicklaus. Trouble was he did it 95% of the time and I did it 1% of the time.

The most exciting, enjoyable and enthralling game I've ever watched.
New Zealand deserved their win, for the most part they played in a way that served as an example to all players.
Just dissapointed by the Yellow Card and the narrow escape from a second for a throat tackle, which should have resulted in a second Yellow.
