Hi Guys, My Plus 8 is back at the factory at the moment. It seems it was indeed a cam shaft sensor that failed and the car has to be returned to the factory for the valve timing and all the associated auto mechanisms to be reset.  John. Bad luck John, the BMW V8's are usually bomb-proof whether in Mog's or even the X5's.  My Plus 8 has had a gearbox issue, again very unusual, but BMW/Morgan have both sorted the issue to my satisfaction. I'm sure they will do the same for you.

Both Melvyn Rutter and Allon White will make and fit side screen leather panels. If you take a look on their web sites there are photographs of finished panels on cars. MMC also make this screen leather panels and you can specify them when your car is built. This way the leather is a perfect match, as there may be some slight variations between different batches.  P.S. Jays mine were produced by the factory and you can specify them, though they are not on any of the price lists.

Kindly add my China Car to the roster. Registered as +8 2013, sport white, maroon leather/white piping. Side exhausts, maroon top, Luigi Borghi mahogany dashboard, overriders front and back, extra front lights. 19650 kilometers.

That's what I thought! It's being taken apart as we speak, I hope they can sort it out.  What went wrong with your gearbox? John

Update on my Plus 8: Those excellent guys at the factory have discovered the cause of my engine problems and put it right, here's what they have told me: Misfire poor running; This was traced to a fault with the ECU, we found that the ECU was loosing adaption on bank one inlet cam, this was causing the timing to adjust and thus causing the misfire. As a precautionary measure we removed the front cam chests and physically checked the camshafts to ensure that the system was working correctly and no damage had been sustained. ECU has been replaced and diagnostic system checked, then again after road test re-checked with no fault codes. Needless to say I am very relieved that no damage was done and grateful to the guys at the factory for sorting out the problem so quickly. Looking forward to getting the car back next week.  John

Have serious withdrawal symptoms at the moment!
I enjoy the car so much I managed to put a thousand miles on it in the first week with the first service completed straight after. Looking forward to a good blat around the back lanes of the Suffolk countryside as soon as my car is home.
