Step 10: Take out the original shaft bearing (will not reuse)

You first have to get the snap ring off before pressing out the bearing.

Step 15: Attach the Centa inner rotating rubber carrier on the crankshaft drive spindle using the "key" into the key slot.

We let the rotating metal part warm up in the sun so it was easier to slip onto the shaft.

Install the large metal washer with bolt locking the rotating part onto the drive shaft.

Torqued the bolt to 20 ft lbs

Remember to use some kind of thread lock on all (most) the bolts
Lock tight everything!

Thanks again for all the information JVS, it may come in very handy one day. Just one small thing, the company that makes the drive is called Centa, not Centra.

Step 16: Install rotating compensator into it's housing.

This is where you add the four rubber isolators into the four cups that hold them as you slide the whole assembly into the compensator housing.

We used some grease to hold the rubber isolators in place in the rotating cups.

Step 17: bolt up the compensator back plate.

Making sure as you push it closed that the four rubber isolators are in the cupped part correct.

We changed out these soft allen headed bolts for something more substantial.
Note the one head with the nice haircut, I mean where we had to die grind a large slot in it for using an impact wrench/driver to get s good grip on that countersunk bolt.

Torque the bolds to 20 ft lbs

That's it for building a new compensator.

Now you are ready to attach the flywheel !
