Spot on Dave - that's my bet too - the 3 litre straight six turbo - gives between about 307 and 460 bhp with minimal changes.

Morgan would only be allowed the lower end I expect and side pipes would be almost impossible I guess from a straight 6.

A Ford V6 might do of course, and there's the new Cosworth V8 that's going into the new TVR that might also fit. Don't Morgan have a relationship with Cosworth now???? Stranger things have happened. But this is the wrong forum for this......

How about 2, 3 or even 4 V twins stuck together?

A quadruple V twin V8 arrangement would be almost 8 litres of vibration.

Oulton Park trackday earlier this year , keeping up with the others. Check out the colour of the discs. Nothing binding

Wow! And there was me thinking that you had colour co-ordinated your discs to match the stripe down the side! scared

"Cool" picture thumbs

I now see why you would want some cooling - or maybe a carbon brake option........

I guess that speculation should be tempered with how far MMC can go without new homologation requirements.

Id like to see a better engineered bevel box that reflected a bit of quality engineering so it ran cooler and without screaming as they still do on even 2015 cars. The current spec is awful to my mind, not even BL would have tolerated it on an Allegro or Maxi. It might mean a few more pounds to the maker but would be worth it and give the new owners of M3W a better quality product.

I'd like to see less shoe box and more front end style on the M3W e

And at a very tempting price

Anybody got any insider knowledge on the intended price of the M3W e?

Well, you save on the ~£6.5K S&S twin, compensator, MX gearbox (£1K?).
Need a reasonable battery (Nissan Leaf's is £5K, could be the same for the Morgan).
Plus decent electric motor (probably another £4K) and controller + software.
Example here: http://www.evwest.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=176

So it could be a surcharge of £2K over standard? Less Government £5K electric car allowance. Hmmm would be pretty impressive if it ended up cheaper!

How about the easy stuff?: 1) Make the seat belt clips about three inches higher.

2) A steering wheel that actually befits the look of the car and not something taken off my kids pedal car.

3) Easy access drain plugs for oil changes.

4) Do away with the absurd "Rest of World" charge.

5) Put another inch between each pedal and move them over to the left another inch.

6) Make the font on the speedo large enough so you can actually read the numbers..maybe even make it digital!

7) Comprehensive gauges for temp, oil pressure, volts, etc.

There is nothing I would change about my M3W. It is perfect for me.
