Today I installed my bespoke cold air scoop built by Cain for the 4/4 with over-riders (a prototype I believe). It is a beautiful hand made object and I took my time installing it given the hard work and effort Cain put into it. I decided not to paint the aluminium as the hand finished detail would be lost. Some day when I meet Cain, I may ask him to sign it!
I will run a flexible hose from the scoop up to the K&N filter which replaces the standard air box and pipes.
It's an air dam, and nice looking too. Although wider would do more, it ought to increase air flow through the radiator as it will help create a low pressure zone under the engine. Also, as an additional result of the low pressure area, the front of the car will stick better at speed. The somewhat crude and wider one I built for Woodstock gave noticeable benefits at over 60 mph.
As tested on the roundabouts of East Kilbride... (Not something to be recommended).
Yes, you are right - an air dam but I have a scoop installed behind the mesh and will run a hose right up to the k&N kit which replaces all the standard kit to ensure a good supply of cold air. G

I have to agree Martyn The full width Wolf Performance Sport Valance certainly does make a Mog more stable at speed. With Modern overriders on 'Angle iron brackets' I can't build a full Valance. With the early type tube mounts for bumpers or Overriders it is possible to fit a full Valance.
