Just came across this movie to be released on Nov 20th in uk cinemas,
Steve McQueen The Man and Lemans. It should be worth looking out for.

Not until a long time later, apparently.
Interesting details on the new film on the Motor Sport website...
www.motorsportmagazine.com/race/sports-cars/unearthing-the-hidden-mcqueen-footage/ 100 hours of unused footage! That would make an interesting extra for the DVD release.

The thing at the time was, endurance racing was not televised, so the only window on that world was the MotorSport centre colour pages and their race report.
