According to Worrall & Turners book the bustle back was discontinued from chassis number 4023, in October 1958 when the sloping rear and off set fuel filler cap arrived. There are no photos but there is a reference in the list of production changes on page 65.

So your car has to have been built be prior to October 58.

The first car with the TR3 engine was 3421 in 1954, so it should be a Triumph TR3 motor.

Moto Guzzi charge about the same:
Certificate of origin + Technical chart: Euro 98.00

so it is probably a reasonable figure.

The Certificate of origin confirms that the Chassis Number and Engine Number (not recorded after a certain date) are correct and gives the year of manufacture and some other details. The technical chart gives basic dimensions and some other details and is the document that predates the CoC (Certificate of Compliance)for European homologation.

For vehicles produced after 01.01.2001 they Certificate of origin/COC for Euro 64.00. The lower cost is probably because it is computerised and requires less research.
