Thinking about air filter, I am trying to find some nicely designed AND performant solutions...

Has anyone tried an Edelbrock or Ram-Flo filter on a 3 Wheeler ?
There are different shapes but the round & triangle ones looks nice...

Kaou,
Although I have not tried them on a 3 wheeler, I did have Ram-Flo on my Suffolk SS100.The XK engine was fitted with twin 2" carbs and the induction noise was great. They are also very easy to clean.

I have used one in the past on a plus 8. They may be different today but at the time it offered little protection to the engine. The filter was nothing more than a coarse thin foam.

These are direct bolt on air cleaners made by S&S for S&S. I use the Muscle variety. More than adequate and they do add noise. The original black hockey puck was primarily designed to curb the noise of the intake as that is all taken into consideration for being street legal.

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Thank you guys for your feedback.

I ll do the exhaust this week and think further on that topic.

I know that some filters and covers exist, but I am looking for something different.

Keep in mind guys that this type of air cleaner is either designed to be used "under" a hood/bonnet, or on a motorcycle with a side mounted carb/injection body.

If mounted directly in front and you get hammered in a bit of rain, you could be in for a rude awakening as it will probably flood out and stall the motor.

I'm sure some have had okay luck with this type of air cleaner, but ones with a solid front and air breathing sides will work the best in adverse weather.

Dan Lockwood : I agree with you and it wouldn't be a "all year solution" but here in Greece the weather is quite easy to forecast... (now clear blue sky since 3 weeks...)

RoadsterBoy : Thank, some filters are nice but I feel something is missing for the front mount...

I may do a custom one, I will you informed.
