This reminds me of an experience I had way back.........

I had a gearbox stripped down and replaced the 3rd/4th selector fork (a bronze catapult shaped piece of metal) - due to wear on the fork. I'd also had to change a few other bits, and it was with a sense of relief that I finally got it all back together.

But then when I rotated the input shaft by hand, there was a tight spot. It was so tight that it was barely turnable by hand. I wondered if it would 'bed in' but I also realised that it would generate a lot of heat & stress on the internals.

So I had to part-dismantle it again. It turned out that the selector fork was slightly generous in width and there was one spot on the synchro hub which nipped it. (It runs in a U shape). So I did the unthinkable and filed a tiny amount from the fork - and all was well. No tight spot.

Anything mechanical which is tight will generate heat and use up power. Bedding in means wearing until the tolerances open up, which means metal in the oil, because there's nowhere else for it to go. That would also have the potential to wear the gear teeth faster than 'normal'.

Just heard from my dealer. No changes for 2016 at all.

If its not broke , dont fix it !

How about making the seat belt buckle attachment about 3 inches longer?

How about eliminating the "Rest of World" charge?

How about specific engineering changes to address the various maladies folks have mentioned?

Which ones haven't been addressed?

My guy says none.

Well, i guess it was true, no changes to the base model!
