Now its my turn to replace a windshield  Yesterday I noticed some cracks on the Passanger side Plexi Wind screen... I ordered a replacement screen at my Morgan Dealer, and want to fit it by myself. Does any of you have this done before, are there any 'how to' instructions on this forum? All help welcome

Only instructions that I've seen are for the Fairbourne Carriage replacement screen - but they look like a good guide to what is required even for fitting standard replacements.

Thanks Philip & Calum, that was the help I needed  ...The instructions from Fairbourne Carriage are perfect for the job...

Be careful not to scratch the paintwork when removing the old screen/fitting the new. The screen is under tension and invariably scrapes the sides of the slot.
Don't forget to seal round the screen with silicone to finish the job off. Fairbourne don't mention this. A small plumbers repair tube with the cap cut will give the desired control and amount required.

I don't know weather to replace with standard or have new ones made out of Makrolon.

When removing the screen I used a fine razor blade to cut the bond between the screen and the paint. I was told if I did not do this there was a chance of lifting some of the paint off, Of course be very careful not to score the paint with a slip. Good Luck
