Plato is a good driver. But he's also a c0ck.
I know we will all defend Morgans - and particularly if he launches against the model we have... but he's missed the point. The 8 is not comparable with Jags and Astons, never was and never will be. It's like comparing an Alfa 8C against a GT3RS.
A few of us on here have owned Bentleys, Lambos, Astons etc and are perfectly happy with our Morgans. It's a completely different car - that's why we own them. To the point Neilda, a Porsche is Porsche, a Ferrari a Ferrari, an Aston and Aston etc. to try and compare even between these can be somewhat silly IMO, and a Morgan is a completely different kettle of fish, and who cares if your into fish

I agree.
I have been lucky enough (and worked hard enough) to have owned Porsches. Loved them. Then sold them.
The Mog arrived and it is unlikely it will be sold.
I did not enjoy the Porsche enough to want to keep it unlike the Morgan. It was not special enough.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

And stop calling me Shirley That's a thought for 2016 gatherings - Aero museums... We held a customer event at RAF Hendon a few weeks back. Great location with three hangers full of planes including all the usual subjects. Just of the base of the M1. Lots of good value hotels around. Decent sized car park. Small problem in that the entire Met Police seems to be based on it's doorstep so no being naughty.

Big Bad Wedge Fest Steve?? Just taking the mickey... I'll see how much is left at Coventry - there is Midland Air Museum, plus nearby is what remains of Airbase (now amalgamated with another outfit in Cornwall where a lot of the planes relocated to). I still want to get into one of their DC-3 cockpits...
