The decision (apparently a good one) was taken out of my hands.
Last night was an early Christmas "do" with the lads from the gym, and when I say lads, they are all in their thirties and forties, apart from myself and Bernard. I'm obviously far too old for that sort of thing and the trip to my local town centre hostelries finished at about 2.00 a.m. this morning and boy has it taken it's toll. I now know why I stopped doing that sort of thing many years ago and started acting my age! One thing that struck me though was that the pubs seemed to have an older clientele than when I was a lad, maybe people out looking for their second or third marriage, who knows? Anyway, looking out of the window this morning Roger's idea is certainly the best as I'm most definitely not up to Stewart's plans for the afternoon.
I'm now off to brim my tank and put 45 PSI in my tyres as it's time to tuck the Morgan up for the winter.
