I don't understand Black Friday. I can see what the likes of Amerby & Ezon get out of it with their selling fees. I can also see how all the courier companies benefit but I struggle to see what the retailers really get out of it. Squeezed margins in the hope of selling volume but f "everybody" is doing the deals where's the competitive edge? Busy fools comes to mind and selling on price is a recipe for doom in my book. Mind you, might also explain why we've never floated any of our businesses for £200m....

'Black Friday' refers, originally, to a Friday in September 1869 when a load of investors tried to corner the gold market in America. The government found out about it and released $4m of gold into the market which wiped out the speculators.

Looks like its still Black fri today which is Monday as Williams morgan are doing 10-30% off so have ordered one of their mog indoor covers with mog badge on front , will go down on this thurs winter warmer evening to collect and have a look see/mince pies etc !

Its black monday in Pembrokeshire also,more panes gone from the green house,and big tear down the boat canopy.At least the Mogs safe and plugged in life support in the garage drying out after Taffmogs winter weekend.......

I'm afraid we have all got to get used to the American take over of our culture. I see on the latest ( Koka Kola advert,) Christmas has been down graded to " Holidays are coming" !!! Still, perhaps we will all look back with rose coloured glasses at this period in history when the Chinese take over completely. I'm now off to night school to learn Cantonese. Reg

I thought there was a request out for it not to be shown this year due to the sugar content and childhood obesity... Not that it would make any difference...

The wagon visited LLANELLI last week big crowds and closed roads .Grandsons loved it.
