I've just bought a really nice 2010 plus 4 with just short of 7000 miles. (The first Morgan I've owned) Im really happy with the car. It's hard to believe it's 5 years old. I'm afraid I'm at that stage where I keep popping to the garage to take another look and am also monitoring the weather very closely in the hope of a drive day free from salty conditions. Thus far I've done about 100 sunny miles and am addicted. In fact, when I started the Morgan process I didn't anticipate jumping so quickly but I did get completely hooked. I'm normally relatively cautious about cars and spending large chunks of money but on this occasion I pushed a lot of this to one side. Definitely the right move! My wife also loves the car.
I bought the car from a very reputable and established dealer and have no issues. However, since I only have a 3 month warranty, and at this time of year (December) don't anticipate too much driving, wonder if there is anything in particular to keep an eye on within this period. I haven't seen anything of significance thus far. The Talk Morgan site is brilliant and I've already increased my knowledge immensely and had some good entertainment in the process. Any thoughts would be most welcome.

First of all, welcome to TM Hoggy. I am sure you will get plenty of suggestions regarding your questions. My own thoughts are to use the car as much as possible - a drive on a chilly winter day can be magical.

Hi Hoggy, congratulations on your purchase.
I have had my 2011 Plus 4 from new and have found it totally reliable. As you have only a 3 month warranty, I can only recommend you drive it as often as you can in that 3 month period, just in case something is amiss. Hopefully all will be good.

Just check the water in the cooling systen and the wiper fluid for frostproof condition.
Have lots of fun with your car!

Thanks for your wishes and suggestions, I will certainly take your advice. I'm currently trying to work out how to post a picture, As an original idea, I thought the + 4 would do.

Welcome Hoggy! I'm afraid the 'stage' of going into the garage for a peep isn't one that passes. There are times we all pop in there for a look or gentle touch of her curvy lines.. Your hooked I'm afraid. Using it as much as you can is good advice, keep her suspension greased and make sure you wash any salt off asap. You'll find loads of stuff on here from some knowledgable Morganeers. The Meetings are something close to my heart and I've sorted a couple out recently. Haynes museum and Gaydon were a great success and I was overwhelmed by my smile posting of who wants to come, turned into 40 saying yes! I'm not sure where you are based, locally a few of us meet up from time to time at a pub near me and we also lucky to have Shelsey Walsh and Prescott and of course the factory not far away. Good luck and enjoy your Morgan.

Welcome Hoggy. I also had 3 month warranty with mine but it was with a well-known warranty company. It was supposed to be the dog’s bollocks of warranties packages that covered every mechanical and electrical item on the car and was even endorsed by a certain Mr Q Willson. At the end of my 3 months I went through the car looking for issues. The only thing I could find was a leaking radiator tap. Contacted the company only to be told that a radiator tap was not a mechanical item and was therefore not covered! That lit the blue touch paper but to cut a long story short I escalated it and actually exchanged several emails with the companies arbitrator, Mr Q . Eventually we came to an agreement. I got a cheque for 20 quid but had to fit the tap myself. All good fun Good luck you wont have any regrets
