Hi TM,
Last month I bought my first Morgan (a 2008 Plus 4) from Chipping Snobbery and today was the first opportunity I had to get it up on my neighbour's car lift.
The underneath was in remarkably good condition for a seven year old car although there are some minor areas that could do with some attention. In particular, the car had been re-waxoyled by Morgan Motor Company five years ago and apart from some obvious overspray they have appeared to have neglected the rear area of the car (i.e inside the rear wheel arches, behind the battery).
Does anyone know if there is any reason that this area should not be waxoyled or was it just an omission on behalf of MMC?

Welcome, where are you in Dorset? There is a local MSCC area Lyme Bay, that runs from Weymouth to Exmouth and up to Taunton roughly. They have some quite good events through the yea, contact details in Miscellany or I can supply. Peter J and Milligoon are also in Dorset. No reason not to protect the areas the under seal has been missed. Post some pics of your car, we like key to see them. Have fun.

The New Forest MSCC group also cover east Dorset, about as far as Dorchester. As to your question, inside the wings and behind the back axle are largely either aluminium or marine plywood. I'd guess that MMC don't think it worth coating ply with Waxoyl. To be honest the only bits that need covering are the chassis side rails. Doing the inside of the alloy wings helps stop stone damage. One point that is vital is applying ACF 50 to the join between wings and body. This is where steel and aluminium meet and needs to be kept oily, not wet! Enjoy your Mog!

I assume you mean the central part above the rear axle when you say behind the battery. This area is mainly treated wood and doesn't need undersealing. MMC by the way doesn't do its own undersealing, this is contracted out to a local company.

I spray the underside areas with either Dinitrol or Tectyl. I find these products easier to apply especially in cooler weather. I think MMC use Dinitrol but Tectyl is my usual choice; in aerosol cans. Agreed there isn't much point in re-coating ply/aluminium but if the stuff gets onto these surfaces, no harm is done.
