Mine look like they were in the footwells, there are 2 speaker shaped holes haha. Although . . . they appear to face into the engine bay, like where the bonnet clip closest to door is. pretty sure thats not good for the back of the cone haha!

The footwell is the correct position. Do you have the plastic covers for the back of the speaker? Btw. Why bother to re- trim the car? If you have the rpm aero racer then you might be better off doing work to increase the quality of the race car conversion rather attempt to turn back into a road car.

I dont have the plastic covers but i will get something sorted pretty quick. This is my daily driver though and not a weekend toy so i need a bit more comfort and practicality for the interior rather than race spec . . .

If it was me I would opt for cereal's approach. No use for a daily runner though. No, its not been re-trimmed although did have a reasonable chunk of trim with it. But still a fair bit missing, im slowly getting there though! Slow but sure haha!
